HATCH HYDRAULIC PIPES.

poor
Completed
Deck MidshipSOLARIS May 28, 2026

The photographs show a bundle of fixed steel service pipes/tubes routed vertically through a deck penetration inside a recessed steel trunk, restrained by a welded flat-bar support bracket and smaller secondary clips. The most critical finding is severe corrosion wastage of the primary cross-support bracket located immediately above the penetration sleeve, especially at the left-hand cantilevered end and around the clamp attachment points, where local perforation and major section loss are visible. If this condition is left unaddressed, the line bundle can lose effective restraint and begin moving under ship vibration or operational loading, creating chafe at the penetration, fatigue at welded collars, and possible damage or leakage of the routed services. Intervention is urgent: the wasted support should be temporarily secured and then renewed at the earliest repair opportunity, preferably before departure from the present port, with simultaneous close-up inspection and recoating of the pipes, clips and penetration collar.

MECHANICAL VENTILATION HOLD NR 2 AFT

poor
Completed
Deck ForwardSOLARIS May 28, 2026

The visible ventilation components show significant signs of corrosion and rust, indicating a lack of proper maintenance and potential failure points. The deterioration may impair functionality, leading to inadequate ventilation which can jeopardize safety and operational efficiency.

HATCH COVER-OPEN CONDITION

fair
Completed
Cargo HoldSOLARIS May 28, 2026

The hatch cover panel appears to be in fair condition, with visible signs of wear such as rust and degradation of the sealing gasket. While overall functionality seems intact, the wear could lead to potential leaks or compromise the integrity of the cargo hold if not addressed promptly.

MOORING WINCH

fair
Completed
Deck Forwardsolaris May 28, 2026

The deck machinery shows signs of surface corrosion and wear, indicating that while it is functional, it requires maintenance to prevent further deterioration. The presence of rust suggests exposure to the elements, which could impact operational reliability over time if not addressed.

CARGO CRANE TOWER ENTRANCE

fair
Completed
Deck ForwardSOLARIS May 28, 2026

The access hatch appears to be in fair condition, with visible signs of wear and paint deterioration. However, the condition of the machinery inside is not assessable from the image. Regular maintenance and inspection are advised to ensure operational safety.

Mooring Winch No. 2 — Port Side

fair
Completed
Deck ForwardMV Pacific Star Apr 25, 2026

The mooring winch shows moderate surface corrosion on the drum housing and base plate. Hydraulic oil seepage detected near the motor housing seal. The chain sprocket guard is missing, presenting a safety hazard.

Main Engine Purifier — Starboard

good
Completed
Engine RoomMV Pacific Star Apr 25, 2026

The purifier is in good operational condition. Minor oil residue on the base plate from normal operation.

Fire Extinguisher Station — Boat Deck

poor
Action Required
Deck MidshipMV Atlantic Explorer Apr 25, 2026

Fire extinguisher inspection overdue by 2 months. Pressure gauge in yellow zone. Hose nozzle heavily corroded.
